✌
This blog was my journal for many years. Documenting art, travels and my everyday happenings. I really enjoyed sitting at a computer years ago, researching and bullshitting. Times have changed and nowadays you can find me at my studio getting messy and making shoes. I think coming back to this journal a bit will be an awesome thing.. So, cheers to that! xo CQ

Happenings
Where have I been? To those of you who are reading this blog of mine, first I would like to say thank you and second I have had less time to focus on my daily life and art happenings because I have been here mainly. It's a creative endeavor that consumes most of my energy, in a wonderful way of course.
I do have moments of normalcy when I can do things that I used to do more of. Like contribute to Ship & Shape, an online shop run by friends Maddy, Erin and Annika. The shop is full of wonderiful items. Everything about it is so good.
Here are a handful of images from my everyday life otherwise..

Busy Summer
Summer is always busy. Last year around this time I was making wedding dresses in our old apartment, without AC. I don't know how I did it. This summer I moved into a new studio, and dove head first into shoe making. Its been super fun and I am just now getting hang of spending time away from home to work.
I managed to squeeze in two trips to Texas, but unfortunately I wasn't able to make it to California this season. I'll get there soon enough..

Thank you!
What a success the Ina Grau open house was! Thanks to everyone who came out. We have some organizing to do, but it looks like production isn't going to be too far off into the future! For the time being, here is the place to keep updated on our progess.

I have had the opportunity to contribute my art work to the awesome ladies of Brute Heart's sophomore album Lonely Hunter. The cover is a drawing that WE had in a show at Needles & Pens and also at the MAEP gallery years ago. Their record release show was so good and sexy. Love them.

Ina Grau
I have been wanting to make shoes since I was a kid and I can't tell you how awesome it feels to be doing this. My friend Luisa came home from Colombia last month with tools and shoe making skills and has been passing it all along to me. With a little measurement conversion and practice we have been accomplishing so much together.
Much more to come!

Book Project
In September, myself along with David Petersen stared 'Dressing Room'. It's a small gallery space within our apartment and we have have been creating a small run of artist books to accompany each event. Please check out on our proposed project on Kickstarter. We are really very excited for this and also to continue creating these limited-edition books.
Thanks!!
Thanks!!

Happy never ending winter!
Wondering where I have been for like a year? I didn't mean for that to happen, it just kinda snowballed. I've been semi busy and have a new and exciting shoe project in the works. Our new place is really cozy and if I don't have to leave, I'll run in place for awhile for the exercise before showing my face anywhere. When I'm at home with little to do I have found myself making these pom ladies which is super soothing and allows me space out. I now understand this craft!

Monster Drawing
I have only been to a drawing rally once, which was @ Southern Exposure in SF and when I attended I thought that it was something that happened everywhere. Turns out I was totally wrong. Midway Contemporary is hosting it's own 3rd annual drawing rally this Saturday night and I'll be drawing my heart out during the last time slot. Sound like a gas, and you'll have a chance to pick up a nice drawing or two for only 35 buck each! Or, you can always just do the people watching thing..
